Subject: gem update

Hi,all I tried to do

gem update --system in my windows XP box.
then I've got

Updating RubyGems...
Need to update 18 gems from http://gems.rubyforge.org
..................
complete
Attempting remote update of rubygems-update
ERROR:  While executing gem ... (ArgumentError)
    install directory
#<Pathname:C:/InstantRails/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rub
ygems-update-0.9.4> not absolute

but I can see that rubygems-update-0.9.4 is there and is not empty!

anybody has this problem before or has some idea about this problem?
