In your first book you advanced the idea that learning new languages -- i think it was 1/yr -- is good for programmers brains, and paraphrasing comments you have made on this list/n.g., that ruby fits your brain. Therefore programmers owe it to themselves to try ruby to find out whether or not it fits their brains, and if so reap the benefits of the impedance matching.
