There are quite a few other tools that will do the same thing Namazu does, but it seemed to be pre-configured for things like Word and PDF, while the other tools needed a lot of configuration/setup. I may be wrong about that; if someone wants to defend their favorite other tool, please feel free. :) BTW, Acroread does a decent job of *searching* PDFs, but it's beastly slow on Linux and only does PDFs -- not Word docs. - -- M.
