I've been using Scite for about four months to do Ruby Programming on Windows. I think it would be a great idea add it to the distribution. It's not an IDE, but it certainly is one of the most productive tools I've run across, especally in the Windows environment. In fact, the only downside to using it is that I've become a bit addicted and found myself using it on Linux also. That's not bad, except that I'd always prided myself on being able to cope with the idiosyncracies of vim. By the way, after struggling to get the Ruby/Mysql interfaces working, I'd vote for including that also. I finally gave it because the process was just too time consuming. It's unfortunate, beause it means the project I was woking on will have to be done in Python on Windows. Not a complete loss for Ruby, but it's frustrating to run into a roadblock like that on what seemed like a straightforward project (and was in the Linux environment). Just my 2 cents.
