All,

Just wanted to mention that I ported the "preforking" server from The 
Perl Cookbook to Ruby. I tried to make it decently OO. I'd be happy to 
mail it to anyone who is interested in using it. One thought I had is 
that it might increase performance if you are using ruby for FastCGI.
