Finally released Simple Captcha 1.0 http://expressica.com/2007/03/23/simple_captcha_1_0/
Bugs fixed and features added...

1.) update_attribute/update_attributes are now working fine
2.) Simple Captcha will bypass your application test cases
3.) The complexity of images can be easily handled by passing a
parameter :distortion => "low" (or "medium" or "high")
4.) Old images will automatically get deleted, need not to run the
rake task.
