Subject: open4 in standard library?

Hello

I was wondering if Ara's open4 extension could be considered for
inclusion in ruby's standard library, or if the same solution used to
return the exit status could be used in open3. Open3.popen3 is a bit
annoying in that it doesn't set $?.
