Subject: [ruby-talk:23837] Pragmatic Ruby 1.6.5 installation problem

Hi,

I have just installed the precompiled Ruby 1.6.5 distribution from Pragmatic
Programmers web site. Everything seems to work ok, but I am not able to
compile any extensions as the 'libcygwin-ruby16.a' file is missing
(originally located in 'lib' directory, also search on whole ruby
installation dir did not find it). Therefore the linker complains 'cannot
find -lcygwin-ruby16'.

Is this a known problem or did my installation go astray (and if so,
why?)...
