I've removed everything, including ruby itself, …
when I do "apt-get install ruby1.8-dev ruby1.8 ri1.8 rdoc1.8 irb1.8 
libreadline-ruby1.8 libruby1.8", I get things in "/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/"

I thing I have to tune the setup config for Rubygems, but I don't know 
which way.
