From: Gary Lawrence Murphy Date: 2001-10-30T07:14:03+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:23763] Ruby for storing XML docs We're currently evaluating Ruby for a project to parse and store XML docs received over a continuous news feed, and the missing piece right now appears to be the ability to generate storable document objects. The main constraint is the number of DTDs; there are about a hundred different document types, so we need to have some smooth way to generate the document objects from the DTD and then create the requisite tables in an Oracle database. More or less, we'd like to do for Ruby objects what the Oracle XML tools do for Java. Does anyone know of any existing code which might do this? -- Gary Lawrence Murphy TeleDynamics Communications Inc Business Innovations Through Open Source Systems: http://www.teledyn.com "Computers are useless.
