WOW!!  That is ssslllooowww.  Do you know how many operations an Athlon
1000 can do in 9 minutes?!?  I don't want to do the math, but it is very
very many.  How much compression did you get in the end?

Given they are so short could you post them here?  I'd like to see why
they could be so unbelievably slow.
