Subject: [ruby-talk:23627] Whats wrong

hello...

I am a Ruby newbie and I need some help. I am following the "pragmatic
programmers guide" and I am actually copying the text to get it right, but
it wont work. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong??

The code.


class SongList

  def initialize
    @songs = Array.new
  end
end

def append(aSong)
    @songs.push(aSong)
    self
  end
end

def deleteFirst
    @songs.shift
  end
  def deleteLast
    @songs.pop
  end
end

list = SongList.new
list.
append(Song.new('title1', 'artist1', 1))
append(Song.new('title2', 'artist2', 2)).
append(Song.new('title3', 'artist3', 3)).
append(Song.new('title4', 'artist4', 4))

the error msg:
