I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the reference. Perhaps this is a FAQ? In any case, what is the Ruby way for getting the stderr from an executed command? The only way I've been able to do this is via shell piping: `foo 2>&1` I've tried backquotes, %x{...}, and popen, and I've tried redirecting stdout to stderr via $stdout.reopen(...). In no case can I get the stderr from the process. Thanks, --- SER -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World!
