IMHO:

The whole world doesn't fall in love with the same girl/guy/...

Not all humans like the same ice cream flavour.

And with Programming Languages that are basically equivalent in 
functionality, it's the same: It's useless to argue why "one is better 
than the other".

While that remains true, it can be interesting for all to praise the 
good things about the language one likes (and knows).
