The Python library adheres to a formal coding standard outlined by Guido! I have to shift to that standard when I code for the standard library. Really, Python solves *one* of many coding standard issues: where to put the curly braces. To treat this as a major argument either for or against Python is ridiculous in my mind. Paul Prescod
