Specific to this example, everyone else is right, and the best way is to 
consolidate the regex or simply use a condensed split call.  However, in 
the general case, you could do this

[ /\r\n/ , /;/ , /,/].inject(d) { |s,reg| s.gsub(reg,' ') }.split(' ')
