Obviously, this is a pure Ruby forum. Bruce Eckel said that C# is a bad
rip-off of C++ and nobody said anything about it. I've haven't written
anything in C#, but from its description, there are many things about it I
like better than C++. But I won't even consider it until the (third party --
non-MS) support for CORBA happens. Otherwise, it doesn't look all that
terribly "bad". 

As for rip-offs, it appears that the designers of C# aimed to fix a number
of bad features of C++ rather than ripping them off. And if they did "rip
something off", that's not a Bad Thing in itself -- that is how technology
evolves and is refined. If Matz got a few ideas from Python (not that he
did), who cares (besides Eckel)? That's what we all do -- look for the best
technology and practices to make our work better.
