Subject: [ruby-talk:23044] Ruby compared to....

All,

    I understand how Ruby compares to Perl and Python and fully agree
with most of the comments.  My curiousity is more with other
interpreted / compiled languages that people have or are using as to
what strengths that they have in comparison to Ruby.  Having
programmed for years in Perl, Python, VB, Java, and yes, C++ (old
reliable), I understand that there is no 'best language' for all
situations but that each has its own forays into being the right
choice for a particular task.  Anyone care to comment as to Scheme,
CAML, LUA, etc.?
