I second Rich's sentiments about SmallScript being (at
least sounding like) an incredible platform.  

My question is whether Ruby could be implemented on
top of a proprietary architecture.  I would think
(hope) not.  I don't believe David has any plans to
open the source to his VM.

By the way, how did the video turn out?
