Well, one of the talks at RubyConf this year was from the Apple  
employee working on Ruby integration.  It's true that Apple seems to  
be stepping up support.

Leopard will ship with Ruby (built as a framework it seems) and some  
add ons (Rails, libxml, and ruby/osa are some I believe).  There was  
also a lot of talk about RubyCocoa, as you just quoted, yes.
