You said that using Unit Testing/TDD accelerates your development, thus
dropping them doesn't seem a good idea to me. Furthermore, in my humble
opinion, you CAN'T seriously develop big applications in a scripting
language without unit testing.

I have seen people (now I am concretely talking about Java coders, but

Unit tests are far more important using Ruby than Java (compilation raises
most issues). Nevertheless, I think that difference between these two
programming language regarding UT is a matter of coverage.
