Agreed. I saw a mention of the language at Slashdot some time ago and didn't think much about it until I ran into the Pragmatic programmer's guide at BnN. Coming from about 10 years of Perl programming and some textbootk knowledge of Java and C++ programming I am finding Ruby easy to learn and alot more fun to implement. I write software for a living and am now going through my library and rewriting much of it in Ruby, for the fun of it mainly, but also to help me get accustomed to the syntactical changes and tons of features which make the language extremely useful.
