I've done it for my quizzes, usually while writing the quiz. Last time,
(the s-expression quiz) *everyone* else's solution turned out to be more
elegant than mine.

I'd say it's nothing to worry about. The goal is to learn ruby
techniques, not to win. The hard part is not to bias your quiz toward your
own solution.
