Sorry.  In last message I want to explain the difference of
behaviour of HTTP.start and HTTP#start with HTTPS.

The follow code does not work (it writes plain HTTP request
to SSL connection):

  HTTP.start(host, port){|h|
    h.use_ssl = true
    h.get2{|repl| ... }
  }

use_ssl must be set before HTTP#start is called.

  http = HTTP.new(host, port)
  http.use_ssl = true
  http.start{|h|
    h.get2{|repl| ... }
  }

I cannot reproduce here. Do you know where the process blocks?
