Subject: [ruby-talk:22426] Digest in 1.7.1

Hi,

I see that SHA1 has made it into 1.7.1 in Digest::SHA1 and MD5 has moved
in there also (Digest::MD5).

Are there plans for extending this even further, ie. adding a Security or
Cryptography module to std Ruby? IMHO, such a thing might be more suitable
for an extension but I'm not sure. 

Any plans on supporting marshaling of Digest algs? IMHO, it should be in
there.

Anyone working on pure-Ruby cryptography extension? Would be nice...
