The most important thing is going to be audio - are the talks being miked
and can we get a feed to the camera, or should I bring down a boom mike?

As for not being able to handle Hi8, I wouldn't let that get in the way of
us taping it.  We can always find a way to transfer after the fact as long
as we have it on tape.  Todd, would MiniDV be easier than Hi8?
