Hate to intrude on this nice political forum, but...

What's a good way to get a value from a cookie when using CGI? The below
works in my experiments, but I'm not sure it is right, and it seems
rather verbose. Is there something simpler/better I'm missing?

cookie = cgi.cookies[Cookie_name].first
value = CGI::Cookie.parse(cookie)[Field_name].first  if cookie
