That's the second, I believe :)

I am considering writing my own (third...), but I would be interested
in a higher level interface. Preferably one that maps to other
low-level graphical environments. Something that could turn into a
generic, portable and fast yet flexible Ruby-GUI-Toolkit, eventually.

In the same way as tcl-scripts provide the interesting parts of Tk,
Ruby can provide those parts to a simple, native common subset of
various graphical environments.

One reason I have is that tcl/tk munches 2.something MB (out of 16) on
my iPAQ, most of which I don't even use. Another is that it is not
snappy, as a PDA should be.
