From: HarryO Date: 2001-10-02T22:31:34+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:21940] Infinite lists I found an interesting article abouta perl module that provides a mechanism for playing with lists that are defined indirectly, by specifying how to get the next entry given the previous one. The relevant URL is ... http://perl.plover.com/Stream/stream.html It seems to me that this should be relatively easy to do in ruby, too, and I have written a class that handles the basic generation of the lists, where the specification of how to obtain the next entry is handled by passing a block to the constructor. However, the most useful facility discussed in the article is the merging of such sequences and I'm having problems working out how to get that going. Before I spend too much more time on this, I thought I'd check whether anyone out there has attacked this problem before. No point re-inventing the wheel!
