Subject: [ruby-talk:21927] Patch for 1.6.5

Hi!

I do not know if it is intended to produce a 1.6.6 version, but in case
it is, here is the patch i needed on SuSE linux AXP (i.e. Alpha) 7.1 in order
to compile ruby without warnings.

The first one is needed to run configure (i got a configuration 
string ending with '-' because LIBC was an empty
string). This confused configure that much, that there were lots
of compilation errors.

The second patch removes about 10 warnings for
integer<-->pointer conversion of different size.
(gcc-3.0)
