From: "Drirr C." Date: 2001-09-29T15:34:50+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:21818] Embedding Hello I'm starting a project which will allow, ehem, -need- running Ruby scripts. However I need the user to be able to edit and run them within the same environment. Some of the the scripts will be in memory, and not in a file, so rb_load_file(char *file) won't do. Should I use rb_eval_string("anObject.each{|x| x.clearFlag }") instead? (given the scripts can be large) or is it intended just for simpler commands? Also, I would like to redirect all output (which would come from puts, exceptions, etc... ) to a console. What would be the best way of doing that? Finally, what is the use of setting a script name with ruby_script(char *name) ? Thanks a lot for any help Guillermo Romero (Drirr)
