I subscribe to the PHP, Ruby, and Python general lists. I also have my mail 
client automatically delete messages after 60 days. A side-effect is that 
this gives me a sort of 60 day moving average of list volume. Current figures 
are:

Python: 10208
Ruby: 11932
PHP: 2476
