 You can use the parameter "&" to rb_scan_args(), for example :

     VALUE block;
     rb_scan_args(argc, argv, "0&", &block);

 in this case ruby will just do :

     block = Qnil;
     if (rb_block_given_p()) {
        block = rb_f_lambda();
     }

 perhaps faster to write it rather than call rb_scan_args() :-))

 A more generic way to write it, is something like this (it's important to
 call rb_iterate() to propagate the block)
