You can store that class in any variable or constant you like.  So all of 
these work:

$cl = ::StupidlyLongLibName::LongModuleName::LongClassName
@cl = ::StupidlyLongLibName::LongModuleName::LongClassName
@@cl = ::StupidlyLongLibName::LongModuleName::LongClassName
cl = ::StupidlyLongLibName::LongModuleName::LongClassName
Cl = ::StupidlyLongLibName::LongModuleName::LongClassName

Note: depending on where in the code you are some of these do not really 
make sense.
