[ruby-talk:02166] Ruby - Show Me

From: "Dat Nguyen" <thucdat@...>
Date: 2000-03-25 20:37:48 UTC
List: ruby-talk #2166
Following is the international alphabetical spelling used especially by
pilots:

Alpha
Bravo
Charlie
Delta
Echo
Foxtrott
Golf
Hotel
India
Juliet
Kilo
Lima
Mike
November
Oscar
Papa
Quebec
Romeo
Sierra
Tango
Uniform
Victor
Whisky
X-Ray
Yankee
Zulu

Since my name is hard to spell, I often have to use this international
spelling. I am trying to write a very short and compact program in Ruby and
compare with the version in Perl, Python & Tcl of mine.

The program should read from stdin, for instance, my name: Dat Nguyen
and output:

Delta
Alpha
Tango

November
Golf
Uniform
Yankee
Echo
November

I am thinking along the line of an associative array like what I would do in
Perl.
Please any Ruby senior show me the Ruby version of this program.

Dat
