A 'thread' is a piece of string OR a conversation between multiple people on a forum or list. A 'threat' is when someone tells someone else they are going to hurt them. Now, it's humorous because quite often in heated discussions... The majority of the thread is threats :D No offense intended if you didn't mean to be funny...
