Subject: Ruby 1.8.5 on AIX 5.3 "ruby -v" errors

HI
I compiled ruby-1.8.5 on AIX 5.3.
 When I run ruby -v its giving this error. I tested the ruby with some
of our scripts and it works perfectly fine.

#ruby -v
ruby 1.8.5 (2006-08-25) [powerpc-aix5.3.0.0]
ruby: [BUG] Segmentation fault
ruby 1.8.5 (2006-08-25) [powerpc-aix5.3.0.0]

IOT/Abort trap(coredump)
Can anybody help.
