Subject: [ruby-talk:21483] getaddrinfo: DNS temporary failure (SocketError) - again

I didn't get an answer to my last post, so I re-try ;-)
When opening a (client-)Socket I get the following error:
  /obcp/bin/testtools:171:in `open': getaddrinfo: DNS temporary failure
(SocketError)

On the very same machine websurfing, ftp'ing, etc. work perfectly, so I
don't think the problem is related to our DNS server.
I would really appreciate any help.
