in order to verify if JAVA_HOME is set or not type in term :

 > echo $JAVA_HOME

here i get :

/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Home

if i remember well, my JAVA_HOME is allways set and i didn't have =20
