Thanks so much! Writing up and sharing stuff like this is what makes
the net.mind smarter.

It confirmed two things for me:
1) RubyInline is a great argument for convincing naysayers that Ruby is
a good idea.
2) I'm really glad I don't program in C anymore. ;)
