The presentation itself was extremely informative. The REST concept was new
to me and I found Theodore's slides and comments to be nothing short of
brilliant. You'd think that there would be too many distractions and such
getting in the way of learning in a format like this but I got more out of
last night's event than I have in a number of in-person presentations.

As to the whole Second Life "thing," it was about as surrealistic as I had
expected. There was a sun-sized Ruby hovering near the meeting space, most
of us sat on floating benches, and there was a vampire seated across from
me! I find the Second Life interface to be clunky and confusing but overall
it was a ton of fun and I learned a lot! I'll be attending again for sure.
