Subject: [ruby-talk:21184] Ruby-gtk segfault on W2K

I finally got ruby-gtk to compile on 2000 (after hacking around a bit),
and I'm getting a segfault that I don't know how to fix. First of all,
my versions:

ruby 1.7.1 (2001-09-05) [i586-mswin32]
ruby-gtk-0.25
gtk+ 1.2.6 (Windows version)
glib 1.3.2 (Windows version)

I can get the tests and examples to start up with no problem. However,
when I exit the application, I get the following:

  C:\gtk\src\gtk-0.25\sample\testgtk>ruby testgtk.rb
  testgtk.rb: done.
  testgtk.rb:264: file gdkdraw.c: line 122: assertion `drawable != NULL'
failed (Gdk::Error)
  testgtk.rb:264: [BUG] Segmentation fault
  ruby 1.7.1 (2001-09-05) [i586-mswin32]

  abnormal program termination

The warning doesn't bother me... I expect that from GTK. The fact that
the warning causes a segfault greatly concerns me, though. I've looked
at it a bit, and I think it's segfaulting when it tries to log the error
through g_log, but I'm not sure.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Has anyone else made it this far with
compiling 1.7.1 and ruby-gtk-0.25?
