Guy Decoux kindly informed me by e-mail that this is apparently the case.

This likely won't be fixed until Dave Thomas returns from a conference. (Yet
another reason to appreciate his Ruby-related efforts.)

NOTICE: If you are posting from the NG, you should cc to
anti-spam-ruby-talk@netlab.co.jp (the Ruby talk mail list) if you want the
full English-speaking Ruby audience to see your post. Hmm. That might result
in duplicates from the gateway to the NG. Maybe it would be best to just
mail to the ML address? (In any case, remove 'anti-spam-' before using the
above address. Not sure if that is a futile gesture or not, but hopefully it
will weed out some of the less sophisticated USENET scanning spammers.)
