I'm glad I'm not the only one tired of hearing Emacs users belittle IDE users, as though they're running any closer to bare metal. For a language like Ruby, for which code completion, refactoring, and similar features are much harder (or impossible) to implement, there's very little difference in weight between a nice IDE and Emacs.
