Subject: [ruby-talk:21069] Using ruby in gui's

I'm using ruby in a gui situation and want to be able to do this:

button1.caption = "look at the stars"

and have ruby run the following:

button1.caption = new_caption
button1.refresh
window.refresh
etc...

this can be done by overriding the set_string object method true? Can
someone point out an url / give a snippet of code that does this? :)
