Subject: Method for writing log file( in Eclipse environment)

Hi all !
I use ruby for writing methods for automated testing in Eclipse .
  I've succeeded only to make log text file,in which to record the 
output stream of the main test ruby script . The problem is, that I 
couldn't write the other system messages from the Eclipse console to the 
log.txt file,generated from the parser during or after the script 
running . Could you give me a hit how to write this method?
