Is there any reason why send() could not be changed to obey the access
rules?  I can see the usefulness in being able to call private methods on
an object (with poorly-written libraries, for example), so perhaps the
current send() function could be renamed to
__send_dont_ever_use_this_method_because_it_breaks_access_rules__?
