Not sure how much help these are, but I posted this recently to the
same question...

Depends how familiar you already are, but there are install notes[1]
and sample code[2] (tests) in the subversion repository itself.

You might also want to check collaboa[3] which uses these bindings (I
think) to provide a trac like interface in rails.
