You are not minority of Ruby users.

There is a interesting result of RubyGarden pull.

About 40% of voter (= Ruby user, maybe) have already known Python
and use it (if they couldn't use Ruby). In other words,
they use Ruby, although they have skills to use Python.

Ruby is "Programmers' Best Friend" (as http://www.ruby-lang.org/ ),
even if they are Python programmers :-)


By the way...
IMHO, it seems that Pythoneers say 'Hmm. Ruby is not better
than Python, but it is useful for Perl user', while Perl guys
say 'Ruby is not more attractive than Perl, but it is a good
alternative of Python (or Smalltalk).'
Of cource, Smalltalkers seems to say 'Ruby is not the alternative
of Smalltalk, but it seems better than Perl or Python.'

It's interesting, isn't it? :-)
