It works, but I keep getting stuck in the debug buffer and I can't get out! I can't really say any more ... In vela.rb, all the empty parentheses after method calls without arguments are a bit un-idiomatic, e.g. 'EDITOR.get_buffers().size()' or 'if not b.filename?()'. Paul.
